​Health, Safety & Environmental Policy


Safety is an integral part of Flomax Compressions Ltd.'s operations, and we are committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for all employees, contractors, customers and visitors. Occupational health and safety is a core value shared by every employee and we consider compliance with safety legislation a minimum.


Our main objective is to continually improve health and safety in the workplace for the protection and well-being of our employees, contractors, customers, visitors, company property and the environment. Our short term measurable goals identified for 2015 include 25% complete observation requirements, 70% field level hazard assessments complete & handed in, 80% vehicle inspections complete, 75% corrective action completed on target, and 90% required training complete.


The company will be responsible for seeking every reasonable means to provide and maintain a safe work environment, employ personnel with the skills, training and equipment required to complete their jobs in a safe manner and utilize practices and procedures that meet or exceed regulatory or recognized industry standards. It is a requirement that personnel plan and implement safety strategies into each of their daily tasks.


Every individual employed by our company shall be aware of and comply with all applicable municipal, provincial and federal legislative and regulatory requirements, industry standards and company policies and procedures.


Flomax Compression Ltd. will encourage the active involvement and support employees at all levels within the organization in promoting and carrying out an effective Health, Safety & Environmental Management System. Everyone employed by Flomax Compression Ltd. is responsible for maintaining this system.


Senior management is responsible for addressing health and safety resources in the company budget, guiding the safety management system, and evaluating health and safety performance of managers.


Managers and supervisors are responsible for identifying safety needs, communicating safety hazards, investigating hazardous situations, providing training, supplying and wearing appropriate safety and personal protective equipment, and ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and meets legislated safety standards.


All employees and others on company and client worksites are responsible for obeying safety rules, following recommended safe work procedures, wearing and using personal protective equipment when required, participating in safety training programs and informing supervisors of any unsafe conditions. Everyone has the right and responsibility to refuse to do any work when unsafe conditions exist.


You will never be required to sacrifice the safety or well-being of personnel for expediency or any other reason while at work for Flomax Compression Ltd.
